(Cape Town, 28 September 2023) – Distance means little when creativity knows no bounds. Hailing from two iconic cities 1,407km apart, Jack Black and Mad Giant have once again defied geography to craft a beer that captures the essence of Spring—Jack & The Giant Pale Ale. Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Jack Black’s team in Cape Town and Mad Giant’s experts in Johannesburg seamlessly coordinated across diverse mediums—from in-person visits, video calls, Skype sessions, and messages via racing pigeons—proving that passion and a shared vision can bridge any distance.
The fruits of their labour? A breathtakingly refreshing Pale Ale that will transport your senses straight to Spring. Brewed in the New England style, this Pale Ale is double dry-hopped with Mosaic, Amarillo & El Dorado hops. It’s bursting with zesty aromas of pineapple, papaya, and layered citrus fruits. The beer pours a vibrant golden hue, and the full-textured mouthfeel smoothly transitions into an impossibly juicy fruit bomb finish.
The packaging offers a playful narrative that captures the essence of this collaboration: “Fee-fi-fo-fum, forget the golden goose – Jack grew a hop-stalk of which the Giant needed some. Together they brewed a kick-ass Pale Ale that made them both hum. The moral of this story? Collaboration is the true gold.”
Brewed in two separate locations in Cape Town and Johannesburg, Jack & The Giant Pale Ale embodies the distinct characteristics of each city while staying true to the brands’ shared vision.
Given the love for their previous collaborations, stocks of this once-off, limited-release are predicted to sell out quickly!
Mad Giant’s freshly brewed batch will cater exclusively to Johannesburg, and Jack Black’s cans and kegs will be available to those in Cape Town, as well as a few cherry picked retailers nationally, and online via www.jackblackbeer.com.
